Silverlight & Developer.NET

Job Summary

Responsible for:

·       Eliciting, analyzing and accurately documenting the requirements for IT integration solutions using Silverlight, .NET, Javascript and C#

·       Designing integration architecture

·       Implementing XML, integration web services and databases using Microsoft SQL Server Database and PostgreSQL

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

1.       Requirements Analysis

1.1.    Work closely with clients to examine existing business processes, requirements and the flows of data in the business

1.2.    Perform detailed analysis of customer feedback and findings to ensure a thorough understanding of the customer’s requirements

1.3.    Work closely with software developers and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction

1.4.    Review findings with client and technical design team

2.      Solution Documentation - Document the requirements and design for the proposed IT solution. This documentation will include:

2.1.    Data Flow Diagrams

2.2.    Business Rules

2.3.    Technical Architecture

3.      Technical Implementation

3.1.    Solution design and documentation

3.2.    Create associated components to support system integration – messaging, rules, orchestration, pipeline, XML, web services

3.3.    Design and create Microsoft SQL Server Database objects to facilitate storage and access of data

3.4.    Ability to build custom data entry forms using Microsoft.NET C# or VB.NET

Skills and Experience

The following skills or the equivalent in experience are required attributes for the successful candidate:

·       First degree in Computer Science or related discipline

·       At least five (5) years practical experience with web application development and databases

·       Database development experience

·       Experience developing integration solutions for Healthcare, Banking, Telecommunications 

·       Experience working with a formal software development life cycle

·       Background in software development and databases– Silverlight, asp.NET, C#, VB.NET, Visual Basic, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Javascript GoogleMap, MapServer

·       Strong oral and written communication skills

·       Experience developing integration solutions for Healthcare, Banking, Telecommunications 

·       Experience working with a formal software development life cycle

·       Background in software development –ActiveX, XSLT, Javascript, JSON
