Our client in the Marketing and Distribution Industry is seeking to fill the position of Software Developer.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Study and understand the key features and functionality of Epicor-10, the ERP software being implemented by the Company.
2. Study and understand the Microsoft Azure Cloud based implementation of Epicor-10 adopted by the Company, including the various instances of the databases, the process for developing, documenting, testing and rolling out new functionality.
3. Receive, discuss, accept, document, track and fulfil periodic requests from Epicor-10 users for database queries, business activity queries, dashboards, reports and charts.
4. Receive, discuss, accept, document, track and fulfil periodic specifications for short and medium term projects related to Epicor-10, whose objectives will focus on making the software more useful for UPML’s business and making the business more efficient and productive.
5. Perform any other software development, documentation, testing and implementation tasks as directed by the ICT manager and the Consultants from time to time.
6. Perform user training, support and troubleshooting tasks as directed by the ICT manager.

Qualifications and Experience

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Engineering is an essential requirement.
2. At least three years’ experience in developing application software on Microsoft technologies including .NET, SQL-Server and SSRS.
3. Excellent organizational and communication skills, which will be required in order to understand, document and communicate the needs the user community.
4. Exposure to any standard software development methodology is desirable.
5. Exposure to any standard ERP software is desirable.
6. High level of commitment, motivation and orientation toward user education and support are essential requirements for this position.
7. Excellent analytical skills and a high level of numeracy will be extremely useful in this position, as these will demonstrate the candidate’s potential to grow into other positions with progressively greater responsibilities
