Sofos Jamaica has been present in the country in the sector of renewable energies since 2012, officially establishing itself as Sofos Jamaica Ltd. We specialize in “turnkey” solar photovoltaic facilities connected to the grid (mainly subsistence) facilities for commercial and industrial sectors.

From our offices in Kingston, in constant cooperation with the Sofos Group headquarters in Spain, we design and project planning, we handle the permits, the supply of materials, construction, legalization and subsequent maintenance of the facilities to ensure the highest quality of our service.

Jamaica is a country rich in natural resources such as sun, wind, biomass, and wave forces. Thanks to production of energy from these renewable resources, such as solar photovoltaic energy, Jamaicans have an excellent opportunity to reduce the high costs of energy, while contributing to improving the environment.

Sofos Jamaica is also committed to employ local residents, keeping an employment ratio of about 70-30 Jamaican towards Europeans employees.
