Service Agents - Foreign Exchange & Treasury

Responsible for processing all foreign exchange trades, swaps, derivatives, Libor Loans, Money Market Placements & Borrowings, on a daily basis. Additionally, this incumbent is responsible for the preparation and submission of various Central Bank and Management Reports.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for Foreign Exchange transactions/conversions and preparation of manual entries, ensuring accuracy and submission for verification/authorization in a timely manner.

Deliver high quality service to customers and stakeholders, consistently adhering to service level agreements.

Ability to avoid reputational or monetary loss by accurately and time sensitively processing transactions.

Process all confirmed deals within one hour of confirmation.

Report any failed trades or other discrepancies to Traders/Managers.

Assist in the resolution of queries pertaining to FX deals.

Responsible for the processing of placements.

Provide daily updates (reconciliation, position updates, Blotter/OCP reports) to front office (Treasury, Traders, Risk) by allotted time requirements.

Must have good working knowledge of RBC Standing Orders.

Verify that funds are re-credited to Nostro account for matured placements.

Ensure policy, process and procedures as outlined in KRC are strictly followed.

Apply a continuous improvement approach to ensure Client Service Standards are met, including the 4 Essentials of Customer Care (Warmth, Personal Attention, Helpfulness, and Appreciation).

Provide professional, attentive and accurate service when dealing with clients, identifying and meeting clients’ primary needs.

 

Take ownership of client problems at first point of contact, ensuring there is an immediate response to the customer or escalation to the relevant authority or business partners for resolution while maintaining ownership of issues

 

Possesses expert understanding of full features, services, and processes related to the products supported;  effectively and efficiently resolving unique and complex client inquiries

 

Demonstrate understanding of and ability to navigate through a variety of bank applications in order to resolve queries.

 

Demonstrates consistent commitment to team work and cooperation.

 

Actively keeps abreast of pertinent internal or external business related information, subsequently sharing any applicable developments.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • Certificate in Management (e.g. ABE certification) is preferred
  • Minimum two (2) years experience with specific exposure to FX, Treasury, and accounting
  • Payments experience required
  • Good Knowledge of SWIFT
