Who are we?
We are part of the Siteserv Group of companies which also includes, Roankabin, DSL and Eventserve. We employ just fewer than 4,000 professional and technical staff globally. Our Sierra arm is currently partnering with Digicel to design and build fibre telecommunications networks throughout the Caribbean islands. This is a massive project and we have already employed over 240 expatriate staff as well as a huge number of local direct and indirect staff.
Summary of Role:
The Regional SHEQ Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing the safety, environmental and quality management systems and procedures for all Caribbean Operations. Working out of the Trinidad office managing the whole Regional SHEQ team. This role will be travelling between different markets overseeing health and safety standards thorough out the Caribbean region.
What you will be responsible for?
Implement and maintain the Integrated Management System including appropriate accreditation standards within the Caribbean.
Manage the workload of SHEQ personnel including the development and appraisal of SHEQ staff in line with individual staff development plans.
Work with Divisional Management in the development, delivery, implementation and maintenance of Divisional specific SHEQ policies and procedures.
Ensure that the required SHEQ procedures and policies necessary to deliver the company SLA's / KPI's are developed and implemented within the region.
Prepare SHEQ reports as required including agreeing KPI's / SLA's for SHEQ Team in the region.
Daily/weekly reporting to the Sierra Group SHEQ Manager and project management staff.
Ensure internal and external SHEQ KPI's / SLA's are clearly identified, communicated to relevant people within the region.
Manage the preparation of SHEQ Reports, Proposals and Plans as required.
Implement the company SHEQ monitoring programme.
Manage the implementation of the SHE System throughout all contracts within the region.
Manage external suppliers of SHEQ services and equipment for the contracts within the region.
What Knowledge, Skills & Abilities do you require?
Must hold a recognised SHEQ qualification with a minimum of Chartered Membership status of IOSH.
4/5 years management/supervision experience
Ability to manage a large, diverse and dispersed team
Excellent leadership and communication skills - verbal and written
Excellent planning, organisational, training, teamwork and presentation skills
Decisive, self-motivated with the ability to represent the company in a professional manner at all times
Innovative, creative and proactive with a solutions orientated approach
Excellent literacy, numeric and IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office
Full clean driving licence
Flexibility in line with business requirements
