Senior Purchasing Analyst
Job Summary:
Assist the Strategic Sourcing team and business users, within the context of a sourcing effort, in the problem solving process, including data analysis, identify problems/ trends and recommend alternative options
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Collect and analyze spending patterns
•Develop and analyze RFI/RFP quantitative sections, including supplier responses
•Track savings of implemented sourcing programs
•Identify and measure ongoing performance metrics
•Consolidate and document intellectual capital or all key categories (e.g. list of potential suppliers, strategies, key success factors, etc.)
•Prepare supplier scorecards on coordination with the supplier manager
•Assume leadership role on some projects and be able to actively manage multiple work streams with limited direction•
Ideal candidate should possess the following:
•BA/ BS in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or other quantitative/ analytical major
•Minimum 3 years of financial and accounting experience, preferably in the Financial industry preferably in the Procurement field
•Excellent MS Office skills (Spreadsheet, database, report preparation)
•Good experience and understanding of the Strategic Sourcing process
•Proven expertise in budgeting, financial modeling, performance analysis and reporting
•Excellent written and oral communication skills
•Strong quantitative and analytical skills
•Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
•Ability to manage multiple tasks and large projects
