JOB TITLE: Senior Product Manager (Jamaica)
DEPARTMENT: Group Commercial
REPORTS TO: Group Head of Digital Experience
Primary objectives
Digicel is transforming into a total communications and entertainment provider with digital at its core. Crucial to our digital strategy is the digital self-care experience and all the other digital touch-points that will become the first point of contact for all our smartphone customers.
Reporting to the Group Head of Digital Experience, the Product Manager (Digital Experience) will have responsibility for supporting the digital products and touch points strategy within the Group with the final goal of increasing the customer engagement, reducing calls to Call Centres and boosting revenues.
The Senior Product Manager will be responsible to ensure that the digital experience is perfect for all customers. The main products that are part of the digital experience are My Digicel (app and web), Digicel ID (authentication service) and Bill Pay.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Manage the short and long term assigned digital channels roadmap, with specific focus on My Digicel, Digicel ID, Bill Pay and the web self-care experience.
* Formulate and implement creative strategies, to achieve the overall business goals and objectives with a specific focus on digital customer experience and new and innovative products improving customer experience and simplifying purchasing experience on the go.
* Drive innovation within Digicel and find new and innovative ways to drive incremental revenue from digital interaction.
* Review and assess the new product ideas.
* Engage and liaise with the markets and launch pilots & trials as proof of concept.
* Research and understand global trends within the Telecoms and Digital industries and wider adjacent industries to spot excellence in digital customer experience.
* Lead and influence teams to digitalize the customer experience in the markets.
* Have a strong technical and commercial acumen to understand new technology opportunities
* Manage the product delivery process and the product development portfolio.
* Drive best practice product delivery process to the Digicel markets.
* Interface with product and service vendors to ensure best price and quality for products and services provided to Digicel and Digicel customers.
Academic Qualifications and Experience required for position
* Minimum of 2 years of work experience in the Telecoms industry or experience in mobile digital company, mobile content company, mobile solution providers, UX agency with specific focus on mobile Self-Care, Mobile portals and Digital Customer experience
* Commercial experience with deep understanding of productizing complex technical solutions, apps and products
* Solid Commercial knowledge of telecommunications products and technologies.
* Prior experience and proven track record in delivering projects focused on changing customer behavior and mobile customer experience
* Needs to be comfortable with constant change: activities and work priorities may change from one day to the next.
* Located in Kingston, Jamaica
* Native English speaker, with additional languages (French, Spanish, Dutch) a bonus.
* Could be required to travel
