The Role:

• Exempt/Management position in a unionised environment.
• Salary range will be determined by the level of skills and competences of the candidate.
• Full time employment

This position is responsible for all day to day manufacturing activities required at one plant facility. Coordinates activities of production department with support departments and ensures that all plant goals are met in a timely and cost effective manner. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; assessing performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic as well as knowledge and understanding of the OSH Act and other statutory requirements, policies and procedures. He/she will have working knowledge of the ammonia manufacturing process and be functionally competent with Enterprise Resource Planning System (SAP preferred) as well as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and MS Project. The selected candidate will be organized individuals who can work a flexible schedule as well as work as part of a core team for planning, executing, controlling and close out of turnarounds and outages as well as provide coverage and services for the on-call system. Experience in a unionized and ISO environment (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001) will be considered assets

 

Essential Skills:

Education/Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Process Engineering.
• At least 10 or more years in a management role in a process plant environment preferably with emphasis on the Ammonia Process, with at least 3 or more years of experience managing others. 
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training at this level will also be considered.
