Primary objective of the job:
- Primarily responsible for driving the revenue and growth of the FTTH product in line with agreed KPIs and budgets.
- To Product Manage the FTTH Portfolio with particular emphasis on business to home & business to business product offerings.
- Lead the pricing & product management team to achieve department objectives.
- Develop products and promotions from existing ideas, and help to develop new ideas based on industry experience and contact with customers and prospects.
- End-to-end ownership and management of the product development lifecycle for assigned product and promotion initiatives from concept through to implementation.
- Oversea product design and detailed product specifications, developing and managing project plans and developing product documentation.
- Responsible for developing Digicel FTTH product and pricing strategy and implementing plans in order to develop Digicel's FTTH revenues.
- Monitor market trends and industry developments and proactively recommend price & product enhancement.
- Develop products that are customer focused and relevant.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all aspects of the product life cycle through product launch through end-of-life: planning, forecasting and marketing of the products under the portfolio.
- Determine pricing strategies and the pricing of new products and services, management of price plans, maintenance of all products and services within the portfolio and ensuring that products are priced in line with business cases and market expectations.
- Responsibility for the product calendar/roadmap and products budget planning for the market.
- Lead the Product Management function within FTTH line, formulating pricing strategies, building marketing and sales collateral, and working with the sales and support organizations to ensure knowledge transfer and monitoring in life continuity of service according to agreed contracted terms with customers.
- Work directly with cross-functional teams from Engineering, Technical, Operations, Support, Marketing, Business Development and Sales to drive a successful product strategy that meets business and market objectives.
- Responsibilities include creating product specifications and requirements with feedback from sales, marketing and customers: responsible for the production of product related materials and for the formulation of training programs for internal and external customers.
- Responsible for clearly communicating to Marketing, Sales and Customers your market offering, pricing strategy, competitive advantage, roadmap, value proposition and competitive differentiation.
- Carry out market research within the Jamaican and international markets and be responsible for benchmarking your product portfolio against competitors both internal and external to our markets.
- Understand and articulate the features and benefits all product lines.
- Build the sales team capabilities through direct and indirect training. Work closely with the sales management team to ensure that adequate training, guidance and management attention is being provided to enable the teams to embrace products under remit.
- Create product related marketing and proposal material for the sales organization, manage the market research activities around the products, monitor customer awareness and perception of our FTTH product offerings.
- Provide monthly management reports on the agreed KPI's of the products under management.
- Manage vendor relations with the key suppliers that are involved within your product remit.
- Create, conduct and manage customer survey programs to monitor the continued feasibility of product offerings and where necessary input change control requests into the product roadmap based on results.
- Build relationships with key suppliers, channels and customers to continue the evolution of the organization in line with our growth objectives.
Academic qualifications and experience required for job:
- Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Management or Project Management
- Minimum 5 years previous experience in a Product Management role
- Strong background and understanding of cable/fibre market
- Knowledge of cable service provider business, understanding of fibre protocols
- General knowledge of fibre platforms and technologies.
- Previous fibre experience highly desirable in a Product Management role.
Functional Skills:
- Commercial and business acumen
- Strong analytical skills including the ability to synthesize large amounts of information, identify key market and user trends, and communicate the implications to marketing, planning and management.
- Ability to summarize and consolidate complex information from multiple sources, as well as experience planning, conducting, analyzing, and presenting data from both qualitative and quantitative research studies.
- Sound knowledge of budget and business case preparation.
- Formal or on the job training in Project Management
- Passion for learning about new technologies and market trends.
- Self- starter with high tolerance for ambiguity.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite e.g. Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience measuring advertising effectiveness and marketing mix (web, print, broadcast, direct mail).
- Fluent in English

- Product is deemed "product ready" when all development activities are complete and signed off by the project team and then subsequently signed off by Directors and Key Stakeholders.
- Adherence to the Product Development Process
- Complete end-to-end documentation for all new products and product changes and post to the Products Share Drive.
