OBJECTIVES

 Lead and manage a team of sourcing professionals through the execution of a regional program of strategic sourcing initiatives designed to deliver sustainable value for the organization

Drive performance excellence in sourcing through on going performance management, talent management, coaching, and people development

Ensure safety and soundness of our third party goods and services supply

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage the execution of a program of regional strategic sourcing initiatives designed to achieve our savings objectives and deliver sustainable value for the bank

Ensure the adoption, evolution, and improvement of our strategic sourcing framework which spans initial category analytical work, development of sourcing strategy, RFx execution, all the way through to contract implementation

Manage the execution of Business as Usual sourcing activities, such as contract renewals, project/capital oriented sourcing, etc.

Support our Category Transformation leads through the development and rapid execution of sourcing strategies in support of regional transformational initiatives

Responsible for quality execution of sourcing process artefacts such as Sourcing Plans, Category Sourcing Strategy, Negotiation Strategy, etc.

Serve as the lead in all mediation and problem resolution relating to suppliers, timelines and contracts/agreements interpretation.

Responsible for managing the contract administration and renewal process for all third-party contracts throughout the region, ensure all contractual documentation is maintained, managed and adhered.

Create, monitor and maintain supply market analytics and benchmarking tools and templates for strategic sourcing team.

Responsible for managing and developing key business partner relationships as articulated under the section key relationships.

Responsible for resource management of the sourcing team and on-boarding and resourcing sourcing initiatives, contract renewals, contract amendments, and direct negotiations.

Monitor and Manage the RFI, RFQ and RFP processes for Caribbean Banking.

Create working groups and oversight boards ensuring representation from key stakeholders, impacted business units impacted by the strategic sourcing team.

Implement supplier value measurements to monitor and manage supplier performance to ensure the best combination of price, service and quality delivered by supplier base.

Create, maintain and modify all required templates in support of the end to end strategic sourcing process

Coordinate with all internal business partners required, including Legal, Risk Management, Finance, HR, and any other SMEs as needed.

Ensure established policies and practices (internal controls) are followed and non-compliance is appropriated managed/controlled.

Provide advice and interpretation of procurement and contractual policies, procedures and practices in the acquisitions of these services.

Develop and foster new relationships within the business and constantly focus on business alignment.

Create partnerships that lead to value add opportunities with the business.

Act as a liaison for third party vendors.

Ensure an implementation plan for transition of selected supplier is in place and monitor implementation, if applicable.

Monitor and resolve concerns related to the delivery of these services and ensure that performance standards for project delivery are maintained along with the primary objective of achieving the best value for RBC.

Partner and collaborate with RBC Enterprise Procurement Category managers to leverage best practises and keep abreast of industry trends.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors degree or College diploma with related experience
  • MBA will be considered an asset
  • PMP will be considered an asset
  • CIPS, ISM, or other professional procurement accreditation will be considered an asset
  • Previous sourcing/procurement experience – minimum of 10 years
  • People management experience – minimum of 5 years
