Job Purpose

• To Provide leadership for and oversee all activities of the company’s Revenue Accounting, including: Revenue Accounting and Statistics, CRS Distribution Accounting, Interline, Mail & Freight, and Compliance Monitoring
• To develop and manage a Revenue Accounting strategy, which enables the company to deliver its strategy in support of commercial and operational objectives
•  To promote a department-wide focus on consistent delivery of excellence in service that meets the needs of Finance, and its internal and external customers
•  To ensure that the company obtains optimum revenues for passenger and freight flown and that accurate revenue/sales accounting information is collated, prepared and submitted in a timely manner.
•  To administer, coordinate and control all revenue/sales accounting activities and establish effective operational systems for groups supervised

Background Knowledge and Experience

• Academically qualified to a Degree level with ACCA qualification or equivalent
• Membership to beneficial Finance, Accounting, Commercial and Management institutions and associations
• Has performed in a similar role in a large multi-national airline for a minimum of 5 years, or within similar industries, with Executive mandate;
• Has extensive knowledge of the Financial regulatory and professional requirements
• Has a comprehensive knowledge of the airline industry, and a strong network of relationships within the airline industry
• Project management experience in delivering complex, multi-discipline assignments is desirable
• Proficient in the use of appropriate computer applications programmes; excellent spreadsheet analysis capability
• Has expert knowledge of the financial/bottom-line implication of strategic and tactical decisions, and has a working knowledge of RODOC.
