On behalf of our banking client, we are recruiting a highly qualified individual to fulfill the role of Senior IT Infrastructure Architect.
Role and Responsibilities:
In coordination with the staff, software vendors, consultants and clients, the Senior IT Infrastructure Architect will:
Display a breadth of technical knowledge at a superior level
Architect, implement, maintain and support the organisation’s IT infrastructure
Evaluate current infrastructure technology, conduct research, recommend and implement innovative infrastructure technology that can enhance its reliability, security, productivity and efficiency
Manage projects by developing detailed project plans, procuring necessary resources, monitoring progress and providing regular status reports to the management team
Develop and maintain documentation of design, as well as on-going operation and administration of infrastructure
Design and maintain technical standards for IT infrastructure
Provide mentoring and act as an escalation point for IT Support Specialists and Network Administrators
Provide third-tier support for the efficient resolution of IT infrastructure-related incidents, service requests and update service desk management tools accordingly
Ensure that adequate capacity planning and network performance mechanisms are in place for growth in data size and usage
Organise and execute periodic testing of the IT component of business continuity plans
Person Specification:
7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure design, implementation and support with experience in a banking environment preferred
Extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure technology, such as but not limited to, Cisco LAN/WAN/WLAN technology, Cisco UCCX, OSPF/BGP, MPLS, VPN, QoS, Cisco ASA/Checkpoint Firewalls, MS SQL/MySQL/SQL Clustering, SAN, Windows 2003/2008 and higher, Active Directory 2003/2008, and MS Exchange 2007 or higher, experience with Nutanix hardware is a plus
Experienced in managing network monitoring and management solutions such as Argent, SolarWinds Orion, IBM Tivoli or CiscoWorks
Must be able to develop processes, procedures, solution proposals and action/project plans
Extensive VMware VSphere and VMware View (VDI) experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other technical field
Current CCIE, CCNP/CCDP, MCSE, VCP or equivalent technical certifications
Ablility to manage multiple projects and tasks, work effectively in a rapidly changing environment and meet conflicting deadlines
Strong oral, written and presentation communication skills
