Job Summary
The Senior HR Professional provides customized and practical HR solutions to Government Ministries as well as State and Public Sector Agencies. The incumbent provides specialist advice on clients’ projects and performs effectively in all aspects of human resource management including performance management, compensation and benefits, training and development, organization development, resource and talent planning, employee engagement, service delivery and information. The job requires a high level of client interface as such the incumbent must manage clients’ expectations by consistently establishing him / herself as a reliable source of knowledge and expertise in human resource management.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Engages in the recruitment, assessment and selection process for Government Ministries, as well as State and Public Sector agencies according to the established procedure set by GHRS.
Liaises with clients in recommending human resource best practice relevant to their specific needs and takes appropriate action.
Consults with clients to ensure the requisite human resource infrastructure is in place to support contract employment such as job descriptions, compensation structures, performance management systems as well as policy and procedure guidelines and makes recommendations for action.
Provides customized and practical HR solutions that meet clients’ requirements as well as providing specialist HR advice on external clients’ projects as requested.
Works closely with clients to ensure that their needs are fully understood and expectations are met to a high level.
Identifies and act upon potential business opportunities whilst ensuring repeat business where possible.
Coordinates the work of the HR Coordinator to ensure that quality service is delivered to the client at all times.
Builds relationships with external HR Professionals and Consultants by adding to and contributing at regular group meetings and sharing knowledge.
Takes a lead role in the monitoring and the collection of receivables.
In collaboration with the VP Human Capital Management develops revenue forecast
Any other related functions and responsibilities consistent with this role.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
Post Graduate qualifications in Human Resource Management will be an asset.
Seven (7) years experience as a Human Resource Generalist, with at least three (3) years in a senior level position within the Public Sector.
