Senior Financial Accountant

Assists with the smooth administration of the Accounts Department in order to provide an efficient service to all stakeholders. This is achieved through the provision of timely and accurate accounting and other management information.

Job Title: Senior Financial Accountant

Qualification and Experience:

• First Degree or equivalent qualification in Accounts or in a related area from a recognised tertiary institution OR
• ACCA level II
• At least three (3) years ‘experience in a similar capacity
• Masters in Accounting would be an asset

Specific Knowledge (however acquired) required to Start:

• Prior knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics
• Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office applications
• Sound knowledge of general accepted accounting policies (GAAP).
• Basic knowledge of the Company’s products and operations

Responsibilities and Duties:

The Senior Financial Accountant has full responsibilities for the following:

•  Review of staff receivables sub-ledger to ensure that all balances are accurately recorded and the balances remain current in accordance to the terms of each debt.
• Review and Monitor the Fixed Assets, ensuring accuracy and monthly reconciliation of sub-ledger to general ledger
• Prepares updated calculations for leases whenever there are changes to the underlying terms and conditions of the existing leases in accordance with IFRS 16.
• Supervise functions of the Junior Accountant and Main cashier
• Prepares intercompany reconciliations on a monthly basis
• Prepares bank reconciliations on a monthly basis
