Senior Cash Operations & Trading Officer

(6 month Temporary Contract)

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Process and verify the accuracy and timeliness of all entries posted into software application. Prepare letters for all incoming and outgoing payments and maturities.  Must ensure receipts and payments are accurate and any discrepancies resolved before funds are accepted or paid out.
  • Reconcile all mutual fund accounts held by the funds under management against third party statements and capitalize the distribution.  Capitalize other securities when necessary.
  • Provide accurate daily listing of all debits and credits that affects TTD and USD bank accounts to the Finance Department
  • Forward all matured certificates and coupons to relevant financial institutions at least one week before month end Obtain rates from various financial institutions to inform the placement of short term investments
  • Update daily all transactions, prices and yield curve in system for calculating NAVs
  • Obtain from Bloomberg daily all foreign prices and upload into software application
  • Verify the computation of the NAVs for all Mutual Funds
  • Assist the Assistant Manager in the processing of mortgages monthly
  • Ensure all certificates are received.  Update system with certificate runners and follow-up on outstanding certificates
  • Prepare and maintain a records of all outstanding certificates on a monthly basis and submit to Manager
  • Assist with the transfer of all assets in and out of the software application
  • Responsible for reconciliation of all cash accounts weekly for funds under management and investigate and correct discrepancies
  • Responsible for timely reconciliation of the Pension Suspense account monthly

 The successful candidate must be able to work in a shift environment as follows:

7:30AM – 4:00PM

9:30AM – 6:00PM

 Qualifications:

  • Not less than five (5) passes at CXC/GCE ‘O’ level (including Mathematics and English Language) – mandatory requirement
  • At least two (2) passes at GCE ‘A’ level or CAPE AND an Associate Degree or higher in Business Management, Accounting OR related business discipline OR completion of CAT or ACCA Level I or equivalent  – mandatory requirement
  • A minimum of three years experience in the financial services industry
  • Knowledge of accounting
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
