Senior Business Analyst

We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst.
The Senior Business Analyst is a non-managerial, internal support role with responsibility for data validation, report generation, interpretation of management results and cost analysis. He/she participates in business financial budgeting, revenue budgeting and forecasting; identifies business trends; recommends courses of action to management; and may lead/assist the implementation of advances in technology and software to meet changing business needs.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Data validation, report generation and interpretation of management results, including statistical and written analyses, and oral presentations.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual business financial budget and periodic forecasts for business units.
- Handle requests for ad hoc reports or management information and interact with internal and external EY personnel to verify data and information.
- Devise methodology to set measurable goals and track results against those goals.
- Review overall business internal processes and procedures to ensure adherence to policies and controls.
- Review finance-related internal processes and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operation.
- Communicate with external contacts and internal personnel to resolve open issues.
- Investigate capabilities of software upgrades to improve reporting.
- Provide active support and participation in tasks, initiatives and projects.
- Perform inventory reporting as required.
- Assist in the month end P&L close.
- Provide guidance, direction and evaluation of work of financial analysts and junior financial analysts.
- Mentor and train individuals to master tasks of increasing complexity, as required
Knowledge and skills requirements:
- High Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
- affinity for working with large volume of data – validation and manipulation for management reporting
- the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and effectively

- strong analytical, problem-solving, and written/oral communication skills

Experience
- 3 to 5 years working experience in budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and variance analysis
- experience in a fast-paced Finance & Accounting environment with interaction and/or reporting to upper-level management will be an asset
Education
- ACCA/CGA/CIMA/CMA Qualified
