The incumbent supports the Senior Manager – Program Management in identifying business opportunities, building business infrastructure, and performing testing.

OBJECTIVES

The incumbent supports the Senior Manager – Program Managementand the Caribbean Banking PMC team in identifying business opportunities, building business infrastructure, and performing testing. The incumbent is to partner with assigned business sponsor representatives, cross-functional teams, and vendors to ensure successful execution of programs/projects.

Context: large and complex development projects (either multiple projects under one program or a series of concurrent projects not under one program).

This role gives the incumbent the opportunity to build on these strengths: cross-enterprise perspective, solid understanding of business priorities, and an analytical mindset. The incumbent must possess equally strong business, technical, and communication skills, with keen attention to detail.

This is a critical role for PMC Program Management and will directly impact: client experience, Caribbean Banking competitiveness, business growth, operational effectiveness, safety and soundness.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Requirements

Works closely with business sponsor representatives to ensure end-to-end business requirements (includes changes to systems, processes, policies, etc…) are fully understood.

Works with Program/Project Managers to plan requirements phase.

Leads and facilitates requirements gathering sessions.

Leads and paces detailed business requirements phases: confirm current state, followed by identify, document, impact analysis of, walk through, publish, and obtain sign off on business requirements.

Analyzes problems for root cause(s) and engages appropriate stakeholders towards effective resolution.

Recommends business solutions that satisfy stakeholder needs while keeping client experience top of mind.

Executes business requirements phases according to Project Management Framework (PMF) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) standards.

Contributes to successful project execution by proactively identifying risks and recommending mitigation strategies.

Supports preparation of appropriate documentation and development of adequate end-user training materials.

Ensures development teams (Technology, Production Support, third-party vendor) fully understand requirements.

Testing

Works with Program/Project Managers to plan testing phase.

Collaborates with cross-functional teams to confirm testing scope, assess high-risk items, and develops test scenarios/cases.

Reviews test scenarios/cases for completeness and expected outcome.

Leads and performs User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Post Implementation Verification (PIV).

Documents issues and defects through all test cycles.

Collaborates with cross-functional teams to address issues and resolve defects.

Recommends sign off at the conclusion of testing.

Project Participation

Participate effectively as a member of a Project Operating Group (POG):

  • Builds good rapport with all POG members
  • Collaborates on all levels within POG

Resolves minor conflicts/issues and escalates others as appropriate.

Provides timely updates to stakeholders.

Demonstrates a high level of commitment and dedication to program/project objectives.

Contributes to successful project execution by proactively identifying risks and recommending mitigation strategies.

Supports preparation of appropriate documentation and development of adequate end-user training materials.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

Required

  • Minimum 3 years experience as Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst in large or complex projects within a comparable financial institution
  • Deep working knowledge of risk assessment, quantification methodology, cost-benefit analysis, and alternatives identification

Preferred

  • Undergraduate in Information Systems or related training
  • Knowledge of products and business processes
  • Business acumen; awareness of factors affecting business
  • Knowledge of T24, RIBS, TSYS
