Senior Associate Accountant

Aegis is currently seeking two (2) experienced Accountants. The successful candidates must show demonstrable ability to perform complex accounting responsibilities accurately and independently.  The candidates further must possess 1 – 2 years prior experience. 

Our accounting clients include financial, retail, energy and manufacturing enterprises. 

Specific Responsibilities Include: 

• Preparation of schedules including Fixed Assets Registers and Wear and Tear Schedules
• Preparation of VAT and quarterly taxes computations
• Bank Reconciliations on an ad hoc basis
• Computing Corporation taxes and completion of tax returns, with supporting schedules
• Coaching and reviewing co-workers data entry and standard journal entries

Qualifications:

Candidates must possess –

• At least an undergraduate degree in Accounting or a closely related field.
• Level II ACCA qualification (Candidates actively pursuing certification will be considered)
• Basic understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Familiarity and understanding of basic tax and Vat laws of Trinidad & Tobago
• Proficient knowledge of MS Excel, MS word, QuickBooks & Peachtree
