Our Client is seeking to fill the position of Security & Fleet Manger
SECURITY AND FLEET MANAGER
This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer. The incumbent manages a team and plans and coordinates the safety and security of the employees, customers and assets of all brands by ensuring that policies and procedures are put in place to safeguard same and that all relevant personnel adhere to the company’s safety and security procedures. He/She also ensures that all third party contractors for safety and security services successfully fulfill the terms of their contractual obligations. The incumbent also manages the maintenance programme for the company’s fleet of vehicles to minimize downtime and ensures cost efficiency.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
SECURITY MANAGEMENT
Managing a team of people who is responsible for planning, developing and implementing security plans, security programs such as Emergency Response and Crisis Management, Physical Security of properties (gates, lights, access, barriers, signage at stores, etc), Incident Management and/or Investigation; Determines the appropriate levels of security controls and systems monitoring
Managing the Security Monitoring System including Remote Monitoring: Cameras, Recording Devices, Alarms, Fire Alarms, Fire Suppression Systems, security lighting
Overseeing the management of contracted guard services, with specific monitoring of the guards and rapid response in cases of emergency
Overseeing and manages cash pickup and delivery and ensures that Vaults are in place
Managing the overall cost of security services in line with budget to ensure maximum efficiency and to safeguard the company’s assets
Supporting Internal Audit in their investigation of Fraudulent and Criminal Activities and/or the loss or misappropriation of assets/ Visits the site to conduct investigations, as necessary.
Responsible for conducting site reviews, writing audit/review reports, reviewing findings, and making recommendations to line management and Security Supervisors.
Providing advice and counsel to management on the expenditures of resources for protection of company assets where compromise or loss of these assets could seriously affect company business.
Preparing the disaster recovery plan and updates it periodically
Providing oversight and coordinates training to employees of all brands to create security awareness in consultation with HR
Monitoring compliance to security procedures and policies and reports infringements to top Management
Ensuring that the company has the required approvals and certification from the relevant government authorities such as OSHA, etc
Maintaining knowledge of complex industry trends, current security issues and security technology and updates management on possible risks and threats that could impact company business
FLEET MANAGEMENT
Developing policies and guidelines for company owned/leased vehicles which govern aspects of vehicle replacement and personnel preventative maintenance and repairs
Ensuring adherence to safety standards and care of vehicles
Managing the overall cost of vehicle maintenance and repairs in line with budget to ensure maximum efficiency and to safeguard the company’s assets
Overseeing the preparation of vehicles for government and other mandatory inspections
Monitoring contractual arrangements with external suppliers and approves completed work to enable payment to contractors
Organizing the transportation of restaurant employees in terms of process, selection of suppliers and cost management
Managing and arranges the annual licenses and certificates by relevant authorities such as insurance, sale and transfers of vehicles and keeps records of same.
Following up on all vehicular accidents to ensure that claims are properly processed and made in a timely manner
Conducting regular audits and checks of the company’s fleet of vehicles and keeps a record of all employees’ driver’s license.
Coordinates defensive driving courses, as necessary, in consultation with HR

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
Bachelors Degree in Management Studies or equivalent
A minimum of five (5) years management experience in a related field
Knowledge of OSHA Health and Safety practices is required.
Knowledge of fleet management and coordination
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
