The Sales Representative achieves maximum growth, account penetration, and sales profitability, within a particular market segment or an assigned territory through effectively selling the company’s products. The incumbent personally contacts prospects and secures new business for the company.

  • Generate revenues by selling, promoting, and securing orders from existing and prospective customers.
  • Generate revenues by developing, establishing, and maintaining sound business relationships with current and prospective customers
  • Develops a comprehensive prospect list and follows up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
  • Develops clear and effective written proposals and quotations for current and prospective customers.
  • Keeps abreast of product applications,  market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas.
  • Communicates new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
  • Makes presentations, telephone calls and face-to-face visits to existing and prospective customers.
  • Expedites the resolution of customers’ complaints and issues.
  • Analyzes territory or market segment potential and determines the value of existing and prospective customers value to the organization.
  • Creates and manages a customer value plan for existing customers highlighting value opportunities, share and profile.
  • Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products.
  • Participates in trade shows and conventions.
