Sales Representative
SCL (Trinidad) Limited is looking to recruit Sales Representatives for the company’s Industrial & Lubricants Division and Engineering Division.
The successful applicants would be responsible for servicing the company’s existing customer base as well as establishing new customers throughout Trinidad.
Core Job Functions and Responsibilities:
• Achieves maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration within an assigned territory by effectively selling the division’s products by personally contacting and servicing existing and new business accounts/customers.
• Promotes/sells/secures orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach. Demonstrates products to existing/potential customers and assists them in selecting those best suited to their needs.
• Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory so as to generate new business for the division’s products.
• Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
• Coordinate sales efforts with sales management, accounting, production and warehousing.
• Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities and potential for new products.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
• Must have a minimum of 5 Ordinary Level passes (including Mathematics and English Language). Tertiary level qualifications will be an asset.
• Ideally have 3-5 years of experience in field sales. Sales experience in an industrial type environment will be a definite asset.
• Must demonstrate aptitude for problem solving and the ability to determine solutions for existing and new customers.
• Must be results oriented and numbers driven and be able to work both independently and within a team environment.
• Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
• Must own and have access to a vehicle.
