Job Summary: The Sales Representative will be responsible for increasing the volume of sales and the profitability of the business. He/she will work closely with the Business Development Managers and the local management team of the Company's affiliates in the region.

The Sales Representative will be responsible for increasing the volume of sales and the profitability of the business. He/she will work closely with the Business Development Managers and the local management team of the Company's affiliates in the region.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Execute the sales plan in accordance with budget and defined Target Growth opportunities

  • Visit (potential) customers on a regular basis
  • Conduct market surveys
  • Promote the company's product portfolio & conduct the relevant offerings
  • Advise customers regarding application of products
  • Advise customers concerning supply chain/logistics matters

Ensure systematic updates & reporting

  • Update management regularly on commercial plans, actions and progress
  • Report on the visits - results in terms of new customers, sales volumes
  • Prepare the annual sales plan/budget
  • Report on any initiatives and results

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Sales and/or Marketing
  • 3 to 5 years experience in Sales, preferably in the chemical industry
  • Must have knowledge of Commercial Sales
  • Knowledge of Chemistry and other sciences will be an asset
  • Knowledge of applications and processes in food & feed and/or paint and coating and/or home care detergents and an existing relevant network in the industry will also be an asset.
