SYS ADMINISTRATOR
OVERALL OBJECTIVE AND PURPOSE
The System Administrator (SA) is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values and support all the LA&C sites and participate on the green field and conversion projects; to achieve improvement and presentation of solutions implementation.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
PRINCIPLE DUTIES
1. Generate procedures and implement improvements in GTECH systems
1.1. Elaborate activities description and procedures manual to face incidents.
1.2. Study possible improvements for GTECH systems
1.3. Generate support tools to operations
1.4. Provide support to the operations team in trouble or tasks related to systems production.
2. Manage enterprise servers and solve problems.
2.1 Troubleshooting issues with the GTECH servers, or escalate to corresponding suppliers.
2.2 Troubleshoot operating systems and accounts Linux, Solaris and Windows.
2.3 Make maintenances and updates to the various servers and operating systems
2.4 Installing new servers.
2.5 Deliver supports to the changes implemented by the development team and Management of Technology
3. GTECH manage system
3.1 Configuring monitoring tools for different operating systems
3.2 Generate and analyze statistics associated with the systems.
3.3 Put into production and test system the submitted improvements by development areas
4. Perform other administrative measures to comply with the work of the ops area
4.1 Propose, organize and follow up projects and other improvements in the area
4.2 Work actively with the team, contributing ideas and solutions to improve leadership and teamwork
4.3 To participate in other activities of the organization when required
4.4 Comply with the rules, procedures and instructions of the company
4.5 To ensure the good working environment of the company, maintaining standards
5. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
