Job Title: SMS Commercial Manager
Job Overview:
The role is a revenue-generating role and will focused on supporting strategy, business development, commercial discussions within the Wholesale, Enterprise and OTT Market and activities around A2P SMS solutions within the Digicel Markets.
Key Responsibilities:
* Co-ordinate and execute the A2P SMS business and plans according to the established strategy and priorities.
* Accountability and responsibility for the A2P SMS Revenue's.
* Work closely with other internal support departments including Technical/IP and Commercial Products to review progress/problems while ensuring follow-through on revenue tracking and reporting issues.
* Work closely with Digicel's SMS Firewall Partner to manage and control inbound & outbound A2P messages into the Digicel Market.
* Ensure strong anti-spam policy in place for A2P SMS.
* Work closely with the Commercial Products teams on the product development in meeting with A2P SMS requirements.
* Drive the interconnection on the A2P interworking for International and Local originations and terminations.
* Generate, retain and manage A2P SMS Revenue growth through proactively managing Aggregator & MNO's commercial relationships.
* Identify new business opportunities for A2P SMS wholesale market within the Digicel territories.
* Work closely with partners to optimize A2P SMS traffic patterns and routes for A2P SMS.
* Support Digicel markets closely on all the above.
* Support the business manager with agreements and other operational support.
* Engage in projects and activities and define the requirements regarding technical development of different A2P SMS related projects in order to optimize the A2P business for Digicel.
Desired Skills and Experience:
* You must have a Bachelor or equivalent higher education/relevant experience.
* Fluent in English (Speak and Write). Other languages a plus.
* At least 2 years of work experience in Telecommunication, by preference in commercial role;
* Possess good knowledge/experience about the SMS/A2P Messaging Industry;
* Excellent communication (spoken and written), negotiation skills and a commercial drive/fell (creativeness);
* Have proven sales, negotiation & communication skills;
* Result oriented, able to demonstrate good level of business acumen, with strong analytical skills where attention to detail is key.
* Open to learn new technologies;
* Have a structured and organized approach to work and be able to work autonomously.
* The ideal candidate must be comfortable with numbers and is skilled in Microsoft Office applications, in particular Excel and PowerPoint.
* Excellent team player, highly motivated individual.
