SENIOR QUALITY IMPROVEMENT & COMPLIANCE MANAGER.
The B.V.I Health Services Authority a Client-Centered Care Organisation invites qualified applicants for the position of SENIOR QUALITY IMPROVEMENT & COMPLIANCE MANAGER. The Senior Quality Improvement & Compliance Manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of a Quality Improvement Programme for the BVI Health Services Authority. The Senior Quality Improvement & Compliance Manager will gather and evaluate clinical data from the organization; analyze data for patterns and trends in care delivery; discovering the bases for specific patient care trends; train and educate the organization's staff to promote good quality practices and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. He/she will work with the organization leadership and staff to create policies and procedures that ensure good quality care and minimize harm to the patient. The Manager will continuously be performing follow-up evaluations of data and organizational performance to ensure consistent improvement.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (included but not limited to):
Evaluates patient care against established standards of care in Community Health Services and Peebles Hospital on a continuing basis and reports results to Management to guide improvement initiatives.
Conducts, processes, analyses surveys to identify gaps in services and recommends areas for improvement to Managers.
Conducts process and workflow studies, analyses results and proposes solutions to improve quality of outcomes.
Processes complaints related to patient care quality and recommends solutions to Managers.
Assists Managers to design and implement unit based quality improvement activities.
Collaborates with Managers and Health Professionals to solve problems.
Participates in in-service education programmes as teacher and learner, as applicable.
Keeps abreast of developments in the field of Quality Management in healthcare.
Translates policies and directives into standard statements and indicators for quality monitoring.
Minimum Requirements:
Education & Experience
Masters of Science Degree in Nursing or other appropriate healthcare profession.
Training in Quality Management/Quality Improvement.
Registered Nurse with five (5) years’ experience in varied clinical areas or
Five years’ experience in managerial/leadership position in healthcare.
Experience in primary and secondary healthcare.
Skills
Sound knowledge of healthcare principles and practices.
Sound oral and written communication skills.
Sound knowledge of Quality Management tools and techniques.
Sound leadership/managerial skills.
SALARY:
