SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER (Airport Development)
The CIAA is about to embark on some major developments at the Owen Roberts International Airport (Grand Cayman) and also the Charles Kirkconnell International Airport (Cayman Brac).
This will involve a number of projects over the next one to two years. Reporting to the CEO, a suitably qualified and experienced project manager is required for the successful delivery of major (up to $30million in value) Airport Development projects through all project stages from inception to completion.
These projects will be delivered by both traditional means (Design / Bid / Build delivery), and through Public Private Partnerships where appropriate. Post holder duties involve providing high quality project management of these projects through all stages of the project lifecycle with specific responsibilities including:
• Inception and resource planning;
• Preparation of Strategic Outline Business Case;
• Procurement of Financial, Legal, Technical (including environmental) consultants;
• Oversee preparation of Outline Business Case and the development of this through to final Business Case;
• Procurement of design consultants/contractors including tender/contract preparation;
• Management of Public/Private Stakeholder meetings and Public meetings;
• Monitoring the design as well as the construction process;
• Monitoring the commissioning and post commissioning process;
• Reporting periodically (weekly, monthly, quarterly) on project performance against time, cost and quality targets and resolving project performance issues.
• The management of Media/Press releases and liaising with Government regulatory entities and Authorities.
Qualifications Experience & Skills
The post holder must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in one of the applied sciences related to construction/construction management (i.e. civil engineering, quantity surveying, project management, architecture or construction management) from an accredited educational Institution. Additionally, the post holder must be a chartered member of his/her discipline established either in the UK, US or Canada.
The post holder will possess a minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in Project Management and contract administration which shall include significant experience in managing projects in excess of $10 million. Prior experience in significant airport projects and PPP projects is considered very desirable.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Project Management Software; be a team player and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Salary range is CI$77,712-$104,532.00 per annum and will commensurate with experience and qualifications. Benefits include a contributory pension plan, paid vacation and health insurance.
