The Portfolio of Legal Affairs (Legislative Drafting Department) is currently inviting applications for the post of:
SENIOR LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL
The salary scale for this position is CI$ 88,452.00 to CI$ 110,472.00 per annum.
The Legislative Drafting Department provides legislative drafting services to the Government by employing the services of First Legislative Counsel, Senior Legislative Counsel and Legislative Counsel to draft legislation to complement the implementation of Government policies.
The Senior Legislative Counsel is required to draft clear, unambiguous and relevant primary and secondary legislation, consistent with Government policy and in accordance with the Legislative Drafting Programme established by the Attorney General.
Qualifications and Experience
The appointment is on contract for two years in the first instance, with the option to seek renewal. Benefits include medical and pension scheme.
