Duties and Responsibilities:
Teaching:
Enacts music curriculum, develops course materials and assigns projects;
Grades and assesses student learning outcomes;
Performs academic advising and related tasks;
Assists in developing class schedules;
Participates in curriculum and programme development;
Provides regular and timely feedback to students;
Research:
Engages in creative activity relevant to the field and presents public performances of same;
Engages in multi-disciplinary and/or experimental collaborative work;
Attends and makes presentations at conferences;
Stays current in related discipline through involvement in professional organizations, workshops, etc;
Service:
Participates in various committees at the University as needed
Provides service to the wider (national and international) community through workshops, seminars, public lectures, master classes, musical or other public performances, and professional consulting services to government and industry.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Master’s Degree or equivalent (combination of education, performance history, and teaching experience) in the field of vocal performance and/or pedagogy
Minimum of eight (8) years combination of professional and teaching experience OR minimum of three (3) years at the Instructor II Level

Sound knowledge in the field of vocal performance and pedagogy
