SENIOR HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER

 

A major Distribution Company is seeking to recruit a Senior Human Resource Officer to join its team of HR Practitioners. 

  

Special Requirements and Key Competences

 

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ working experience in the field of Human Resources Development at a similar level
  • Working knowledge of HR Software Applications
  • Knowledge of Employment/Labour Laws
  • Knowledge of the distributing and marketing business sector, an asset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft suite of applications
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong ethical values and confidentiality
  • High level of initiative and reliability
  • Effective analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must be willing to travel island wide

 

Principal Responsibilities

 

  • Administer compensation and benefits programmes and ensure all personnel related processing are effectively completed for employees.
  • Monitor staff morale and contribute through the provision of employee relations services, conflict resolution and counseling.
  • HRMIS administration and payroll verification
  • Recruit and select high quality staff in collaboration with Business Unit Managers.
  • Provide support in implementing effective succession planning and training & development initiatives.
  • Provide support, guidance and counsel to employees on technical and career development activities.
  • Participate in the development of evaluation techniques to enhance the contribution of learning to the achievement of business unit /divisional objectives.
  • Ensure the development and implementation of induction/orientation and reward & recognition programmes.
