SENIOR COST ACCOUNTING OFFICER - MANUFACTURING ENTITY
a) Prepare, co-ordinate and participate in monthly stock count exercise including
compilation and valuation.
b) Ensure that proper inventory records are in place to account for the movement of
all stock items.
c) Provide the Chief Executive Officer with weekly cost report on all raw materials and finished goods.
d) Prepare actual costing on all items of production twice weekly (Wednesdays and Fridays) to include departmental (Extrusion; Press and Bag Making) operating costs. Items costed should not be duplicated during the month except in
exceptional circumstances.
e) Develop a system to track and account for spare parts utilization by machines with a view of cost containment.
f) Maintain the costing system to allow for greater accuracy in
the usage of all raw materials. Track and report on the quantity of raw materials
delivered to the production area and its utilization.
g) Develop and implement a system to track product profitability.
h) Develop and maintain a system of economic order quantity for each item in the
warehouse starting with the fast moving items.
i) Prepare, develop and maintain a fixed assets register;
j) Work alongside external auditors and other financial consultants.

k) Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualification
Graduate of University of Technology (Preferred)
