SALES SUPERVISOR – WESTERN JAMAICA
(Hanover, St James, Trelawny and St Ann)
The Role
The incumbent will be results-oriented and commercially focused with a passion towards developing, implementing, coordinating and analyzing sales programmes, targeted to retailers, wholesalers and distributors that resell our products, and increasing the presence and market share of our brands.
Responsibilities:
Working closely with the sales team, the incumbent is responsible for:
- Supervise sales representatives for the areas the supervisor is assigned.
- Analyze sales routes for effective distribution coverage
- Deploy necessary resources such as sales representatives and merchandisers in the zones to ensure the optimizing of routes
- Negotiate and approve prices to customers in accordance with the Company’s guidelines
- Assist sales representatives in the collection of monies owed to the company
- Make decisions on the opening of new accounts and the cutting off or closure of delinquent accounts
- Appraise performance of specific team members on a regular basis and provide feedback to improve such performance.
- Prepare monthly reports on all activities occurring in the particular territory inclusive of sales trends, sales performance, customer performance, exceptional product specific performance, trends and issues within the trade.
- Communicate all information regarding aspects of the trade that would impact the Company’s performance.
The candidate should preferably reside within the area and have:-
- Proven leadership ability
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Sound analytical skills
- Effective presentation skills

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of:-
- Certificate in Supervisory Management or equivalent
- Two (2) years experience working in product marketing in the food service industry
- A track record of success in the distributive trade focused on fast-moving consumer goods
