Position Purpose:   Responsible for all sales activities, from lead generation through close for assigned customers. Develops and implements agreed upon sales plan which will meet both personal and business goals of expanding customer base. Works within the sales
and support teams for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account goals in line with company vision and values.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the sales of the Company’s products continuously seeking new opportunities for introducing products to customers.
  • Demonstrate technical selling skills and product knowledge in all areas listed above that allows Sales Representative to give effective presentation on the company’s     product lines
  • Continually maintaining working knowledge of all company products, services, pricing and promotions,participation in training sessions as scheduled
  • Develop annual business plan in conjunction with Key Account Manager, with details activities to follow during the fiscal year, which will focus the Sales Representative on meeting or exceeding sales quota.
  • Complete understanding of pricing and proposal models.
  • Demonstrate the ability to carry on a business conversation with business owners and decision makers.
  • Maximize all opportunities in the process of closing a sale resulting in the taking of market share from larger competitors
  • Managing customers’ accounts within the limits of the credit facilities offered to them in accordance with Company policy.
  • Ensuring the collection of revenues and making adjustments to customers’ accounts where necessary.
  • Handling customer questions, complaints and billing queries with the highest degree of courtesy and professionalism.
  • Sell consultatively and make recommendations to prospects and clients of the various solutions the company offers to their business issues.
  • Develop a database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, face to face cold calling on business owners, direct mail, email and networking.
  • Assist in the implementation of company marketing plans as needed.
  • Assist in implementing advertising/ promotional campaigns where applicable.
  • Verify inventory wherever the Company’s products are sold and ensuring availability of product.
  • Create and conduct effective proposal presentations and RFQ responses that identify customers’ business problems, the effects of the problems, and solutions to    their problems.
  • Responsible for sourcing and developing client relationships  and referrals.
  • Maintains accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up  activities within their assigned customers, including the use of Microsoft Outlook to maintain accurate records to maximize territory potential.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within  the team.
  • Participate and contribute to the development of educational/training programs offered to clients, prospects and company employees.
  • Any other related  responsibilities that may be assigned by the Key Account Manager/Division Manager/ Director of the Division

  • Extensive experience in all aspects of Supplier Relationship Management.

  • Proven ability to identify prospective  customers, develop sustainable relationships and conclude mutually beneficial business.
  • Build trust, value others, communicate effectively, drive execution, foster   innovation, focus on the customer, collaborate with others, solve problems     creatively and demonstrate high integrity.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Post-secondary education in a mechanical trade, marketing or any
    other related disciplines is desired.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications especially Excel and
    Word
  • Must have a valid driver’s licence and own a reliable working vehicle
  • Must be a team player and be able to work in a fast paced environment
    with minimum supervision
  • Must possess strong organization, communication and presentation
    skills 
  • At least three to five years sales experience with suitable combination of qualifications and knowledge of sales principles and practices in an    industrial/construction/fleet setting is a definite asset.
  • Must have the ability to relate to a diverse workforce in the industrial,     fleet/transport  and construction sectors
