SALES ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE
DESCRIPTION
The Account Executive will focus on proactively prospecting for new business opportunities and up-sell to existing customers. The role involves prospecting, business development, lead generation, account management, client presentations, forecasting and reporting.
We are looking for an energetic self-starter with a consultative sales approach who is pro-active in increasing sales revenue. Candidate must be results-driven, have strong analytical skills and be committed to creating new business opportunities.
Required Experience/Skills & Education:
3+ years of sales experience (Experience in Shipping and logistics sales would be an asset)
Must be results-driven, have strong analytical skills and be committed to creating new business opportunities
Preferred individual should have professional experience in Shipping Sales, Sales, Marketing and/or Business Development
Must have exhibit sound oral expression and comprehension, negotiation, listening, and reasoning skills
Proven time and account management skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills
Individual should be comfortable selling in a teaming environment with responsibilities for accurate forecasting
Demonstrable successful sales experience
Strong work ethic and organizational skills
Has a pedigree and proven record of hitting and achieving target
Has had experience in prospecting, cold calling clients and lead generation
Has experience in account managing clients
Has experience of field sales, meeting customers, delivering professional PowerPoint presentations
Has experience in negotiating with clients and closing sales deals
Degree or equivalent Certification in related Business or Shipping and Logistics Field
Must own a reliable working vehicle
Key Responsibilities:
Proactively prospect for new business opportunities and up-sell to existing customers
Exceed quarterly and annual sales targets
Build and maintain a constant/future revenue pipeline
Meet / exceed core call time metrics and update/maintain customer database
Develops and maintains a database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing and face to face cold calling on assigned clients
Manage leads in a timely manner
Create strong business relationships with prospects and existing customers
Recommend the most suitable solution according to the customer's requirements
