We invite applications for a new Digicel Opportunity - Retail Manager
Primary objective of the job:
To develop and execute the overall Retail Strategy to include merchandising of existing and NEW product portfolios, maintenance and customer experience.
Number of persons managed/supervised and their positions:
- 6 Merchandisers
- 2 Merchandising Team Leads
- 1 Merchandising Executive
- 1 Retail Executive
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
To ensure that stores are merchandised according to Digicel's retail standards
- Supervising merchandising team ensuring adequate visits and reports to retail locations
- Ensure products and prices are displayed as per Digicel's standards and ALL Digicel's products are adequately represented in dealer locations
- Maintain adequate inventory levels of collateral and ensure deployment within specified timelines.
- Manage all electronic content in stores.
Oversee Store builds and ensure frequent maintenance of Digi-centres and Dealer Stores
- Oversee the build out and renovations of stores ensuring compliance with Digicel standards and costs maintained within budget
- Ensure adherence to store maintenance contracts by contractors and suppliers
- Ensure timely resolution of infrastructure and equipment issues
- Maintain asset registry of all fixtures/equipment and ensure regular audits
To communicate and enforce Retail Guidelines to Dealer and Outlets
- Define and implement guidelines and policies pertaining to merchandising, retail store aesthetics and maintenance and any other areas deemed necessary
Ensure Digicel Dealer store design and elements reflect 1st World Standards
- Recommend and implement store designs as may become necessary
- Source and recommend new technology, fixtures etc that will enhance store look and feel resulting in improved customer experience.
- Ensure store layouts, designs
Ensure positive customer experience in stores
- Ensure that store designs and layouts are conducive to a comfortable shopping experience.
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize customer experience through all in store interactions
Manage all within Opex and Capex Budget
Academic qualifications and experience required for job:
- First degree in Business or Marketing or
- Civil Engineering and/or Construction Management
- Formal Training in Retail Design and or Retail Management would be an asset
- Five years' experience in a similar capacity in a fast paced consumer goods environment
- Experience in Retail Construction would be an asset
Functional Skills:
- Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite
- Keen eye for detail
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively
- Strong people management skills

- All internal departments
- External - Contractors, Dealer Principals and Managers, Suppliers
Authority: (those task in which there is total control and autonomy in execution - e.g. approving vouchers, signing cheques, delegating task.) Please state limits where possible.
- Retail budget management

Working Conditions: (e.g. dust, dirt, heat, abnormal hours, frequent travel, overtime, etc.
- Required to be on construction sites when required
- Required to work weekends during construction, renovations etc
