Retail & Distribution Analyst

Summary
The Retail & Distribution Analyst will be focused on building the processes, systems and reporting necessary to measure key performance indicators for the sales team. Developing intuitive and reliable dashboards using tools such as Microsoft Excel, other tools etc. will be crucial to the Analyst's success. The Analyst must be able to clearly communicate sales management objectives to sales teams and collect feedback on process difficulties from those teams in order to facilitate continuous improvement of our sales operations. Additionally, the Sales Operations Analyst will be tasked with ensuring that the field sales teams understand the tools designed to help them increase their productivity. The Analyst will also review commissions payable and analyze this by dealer to report profitability and risks. The Analyst should act as an advisor, ultimately helping sales managers to identify and overcome challenges thereby helping to enhance the productivity of the department.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement detailed and accurate reports for the Sales management team, providing visibility into performance against key business objectives
  • Provide support to the field sales organization on CRM usage, sales operations processes, and operational reports
  • Ensure consistency, reliability and, quality of all standard reporting deliverables
  • Build ad hoc reports and analyses based on requests from the sales team
  • Develop new tools to promote sales productivity
  • Build and maintain advanced excel models to measure and analyze key metrics for the sales organization
  • Manage dealer commissions and highlight risks, measure dealer productivity, performance and profitability.
  • Develop Sales and Industry intelligence reports to influence trends and go to market strategies
  • Keep abreast of Best Practices and market trends
  • Generate Sales Acquisition and Churn reports to influence sales strategies
  • Generate Sales revenue reports to influence sales strategy
  • Manage, Map and document all processes
  • Combines analytical insight with brand & promotional insight to understand the combined effects on sales performance.
  • Develop business models and presenting at a senior level
  • Budget management and forecasting is essential.
  • Strategic sales reporting - stay on top of metrics to help spot trends and issues as they arise
  • Maintaining access to all sales systems interface and tools, CRM, SalesForce etc - user training, basic maintenance (i.e. building fields, reports and dashboards), troubleshooting, and data integrity
  • Evaluating sales tools to enhance operational efficiency
  • Working with Sales Channel and teams to optimize systems for continuous improvement and efficiencies
  • Running periodic larger-scale analyses on close rates, pipeline movement, seller efficiency etc., as well as developing new key metrics to track
  • Any other tasks required to improve and streamline best practice in the Consumer Sales Operations.
Academic qualifications
  • 5+ years of Telecommunications or related operations or analytical experience
  • Bachelor's degree required. Field of study: Business Management, IT & Computer-Science, Electronic or Telecommunication Engineering.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Business process mapping, Sales, Deep Business Insight, Enable Change, Cross Boundary Collaboration.
