Research Officer

RESEARCH OFFICER

Reporting to the Country Manager, the ideal candidate will:

• Assist in the indentifying, organizing and disseminating of information to stake holders, stakeholders groups and issues of strategic importance to GKTT, specifically as it relates to Western Union, Fx Trader and Bill Express Services
• Participate in Research projects – primary and secondary data collection and collation
• Participate in research projects – including office and fieldwork when necessary.
• Participate and assists in planning, co-ordinating, collecting and writing reports detailing the results of research or applied engineering investigation
• Assist in the development of new business ideas and case projects.
• Assist in the preparation of research projects – primary and secondary data collection and collation
• Be the Liaison as it relates to the local outsourcing for projects such as the Mystery Shopper and adhoc Focus Groups which would need to be conducted. 

REQUIREMENTS

• A Tertiary degree in any area of Social Sciences, with particular focus on Statistics, Marketing and/or Market Research
• The ability to organise a range of projects with high efficiency, yet thorough attention to detail and follow through
• Demonstrate strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Must possess investigative and research skills
• Demonstrate competence in a variety of computer applications, including database, spreadsheets and word processing programs (SPSS, Power Point and Microsoft Access)
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately and with discretion
• Excellent customer relations, interpersonal and communications skills
• Positive and enthusiastic work attitude.
