MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Research Officer will report to the Statistician and is responsible for strengthening the research, health planning and policy formulation capacity of the Eastern Regional Health Authority. He/She will also be required to serve on planning/steering committee

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Research Officer will report to the Statistician and is responsible for strengthening the research, health planning and policy formulation capacity of the Eastern Regional Health Authority.  He/She will also be required to serve on planning/steering committees such as Strategic Thinking and Planning and Annual Business Plans and compile Strategic Plans by advising on coordination plans from all departments.

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

• First Degree in any Social Science Discipline
• At least two (2) years experience in a similar job position
• Experience in Strategic Thinking and Planning and the application of planning tools
• Computer Literate
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience
