To ensure the registration of deeds and companies; the payment of stamp duty; the up-stamping of deeds and the filing of trade marks.
Responsibilities
- Register deeds, bill of sale and Real Property Ordinance (RPO) instruments
- Monitor registration of RPO documents and assist with queries
- Order certified copies of relevant documents
- Pay stamp duty and stamp up deeds
- Filing of company documents
- File trade marks
- Pay Value Added Tax
- Facilitate executiion of mortage bills of sale and chattel mortages and prepare letters and bills relating thereto
- Any other related duties that maybe assigned
Requirements
- At least 5 CXC General passes including English and Maths
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of deeds and conveyance
- Knowledge of stamp duty requirements
- Knowledge of company incorporation documents
- Knowledge of clerical systems and procedures such as word processing and records management
- Excellent communication skills and telephone etiquette
- Ability to provice excellent customer service
- Ability to multi-task and manage time well
Physical Demands
While performing the responsibilities of the job the employee is required to attend at various offices, stand in line, carry cash & cheques and speak often to internal clients and representatives of external agencies over the phone and face to face
