The Regional IT Internal Auditor is responsible for proposing best practice guidelines and organizational standards applicable to the retail industry, and for ensuring effective implementation of audit procedures

The Regional IT Internal Auditor (RITIA) is responsible for proposing to the Corporate Internal Audit Manager (CIAM) best practice guidelines and organizational standards applicable to the retail industry, and for ensuring  effective implementation of audit procedures, including scheduling, audit report cycles, procedures during audit reviews, and steps for resolution of discrepancies and risk management issues found during an audit.    

 

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Developing procedures according to ISO/IEC 20000 and 30000 series, as are relevant to the business
  • Scheduling the annual cycle of audits for the Caribbean information system or electronic data processing function and establishing the audit schedule that reviews the various components of the systems and how transactions are processed
  • Rating the processes of the systems (transaction processing, networks, catalogue and run stream files, data security and disaster recovery) after complete reviews
  • Conducting ‘exit’ interviews with management and prepare audit report/s for submission to Management as per the organizational standards
  • Providing support to the internal audit team through extraction of data from applications/databases under audit and perform data analytics inquiries.
  • Review the reliability and integrity of financial information and the means used to identify, measure, classify and report such information

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies required:

  • The Regional IT Internal Auditor must have knowledge of system layouts to perform effective audits, A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems Management or Systems Engineering, with background in Business Management
  • CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) Certification is also desirable.
  • Knowledge of Oracle; SharePoint; Audit Tools/Techniques/Guidelines; Cloud Computing/Virtualization; COBIT (up to 5);  OS/400 Operating System, Unix, Windows, Windows Server, z/OS-OS/390;
  • Knowledge of Information Security including Access Control, Identity Management, Information Security Management, Intrusion Prevention/Detection; IT Service Management including Service Management; Incident Management and ITIL;  Fraud and Computer Crime including Computer Crime, Cyber Security, Forensics, Fraud; Governance and Management including Business Continuity-Disaster Recovery Planning, Enterprise Architecture, Governance of Enterprise IT, Green IT, Value Delivery
  • Experienced IT Auditor with 3-5 years experience in a similar capacity, within the retail industry
  • Focused, diligent individual, possessing excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to engage team members, superiors and subordinates for best results.
