The Radiographer I will report to the Radiology Supervisor at Sangre Grande Hospital and to the Primary Care Physician II within the County.
NATURE & SCOPE
The Radiographer I is responsible for taking radiographs of the anatomical structure of patients for diagnostic purposes or administering radiation to patients for therapeutic purposes. Work involves positioning and imaging patients for optimum diagnostic radiographs and is performed generally in the X-ray department of a health institution or in a radiotherapy unit with independence and initiative. Work is reviewed by a professional superior through discussions, analysis of radiographs taken, ultrasound scans and charts of patients undergoing radiotherapy.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
• A Degree in Radiography from a recognized college or university.
• Registration with the Council for Professions Related to Medicine of Trinidad and Tobago.
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience.
