The Quality Control Officer monitors, tests and inspects all processes involved in the production of our boxes including the boxes as well. This position ensures that the quality standards are met by every component of the boxes provided by our company.

Summary
The Quality Control Officer monitors, tests and inspects all processes involved in the production of our boxes including the boxes as well. This position ensures that the quality standards are met by every component of the boxes provided by our company.
The Quality Control Officer is well acknowledged with the different methods for quality insurance used in our industry.  Your skills should be based on the visual inspection of the boxes along with the test based quality insurance.  You should have a professional approach regarding to quality assurance methods and be capable of using sophisticated tools for this purpose.  The Quality Control Officer should also possess skills to do professional documentation for the purpose of quality assurance.

Job Knowledge
1) To be fully knowledgeable of all the various boxes that we manufacture from a quality perspective
2) To inspect jobs for pre-press, sheeting, printing, die cutting, gluing, or packaging defects
3) Ability to interpret blueprints and specifications for various jobs
4) To effectively utilize the various tools that are necessary for performing quality control
5) Ability to do basic Math & Geometry/Trigonometry
6) Ability to work independently with limited supervision
7) Flexibility based on plant production schedules
8) Testing on Inspection and Measurement is a pre-requisite for this position
9) An fair understanding of the box manufacturing industry
10) Knowledge of different board substrates, inks, C.M.Y.K, and spot colors

Duties
1) Performs complete inspections by measuring dimensions, such as length, height, and distance, between reference points, using precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, linen tester, and densitometers, to ensure our products meets specifications
2) Performs complete inspections by measuring color quality for print jobs
3) Performs verification on Incoming, In-Process, and Outgoing products
4) Visually compares work pieces against one another to assess/detect manufacturing variations in processes
5) Assists and/or trains operators on part visual acceptability, and measurement and process procedures as required
6) Reports quality problems or findings to Quality Control/Pre-Press Supervisor and/or senior management, and follows up to ensure that corrective action has/will take place
7) Maintains record of inspections and prepares list of defects, interacts with other departments to ensure compliance with specification and to facilitate the acceptance of parts
8) Use established methods to determine and insure the quality of manufactured products
9) Monitors every process involved in the production of our products
10) Ensure the quality of purchased goods as well as finished goods
11) Recommend the reprocessing of the low quality products
12) Responsible for the documentation of inspection and tests conducted on products for our company
13) To ensure that all quality control is maintained throughout the job and accurate documentation (i.e. electronic and/or manual) is completed and submitted in a timely manner as required by management
14) Ensure the products of our company meet quality standards
15) Maintain the checklist of inspection processes and protocols used within a company
16) Analysis of the device history records and previous documentation of a product for future reference
17) Assess all returned goods from suppliers and coordinate the revision
18) Other tasks that may be assigned by management from time to time

Reporting
 This position reports to the Quality Control Supervisor

Education and Experience
1) A commitment to maintain the highest standard of work and the efficient delivery of same
2) High school diploma or equivalent
3) At least two years of tertiary education in the field of quality control or similar
4) Experience in the Printing and Packaging industry would be a plus
5) Excellent verbal and written communication skills
6) Good in arithmetic calculation and possess
7) At least two years experience in the field of quality control
8) Awareness to the computers, utilities, and tools required to perform the quality control process
9) Ability to work well with others, must be flexible
