JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Quality Assurance Officer
JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Quality Assurance Manager the Quality Assurance Officer will
be responsible for performing compliance audits, operational and special reviews at the
request of the Quality Assurance Manager and Management in accordance with the
Institute’s Quality Management System, Corporate Policies and Procedure Instructions,
Accreditation Criteria and Statutory/Regulatory Requirements and internal or external
standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Working independently or as part of a team in planning, executing and reporting
audit reviews or assigned segments of audit.
• Effectively and efficiently performing audit evaluations and testing by examining
business processes and controls for compliance with management plans and
policies.
• Evaluating the effectiveness of the company’s operational objectives.
• Identifying and reporting on the non-conformities in performance of TTHTI
quality systems.
• Liaising with the respective department heads/supervisors on the nonconformities
identified in auditing of TTHTI quality systems.
• Assisting where possible in the determination and implementation of Corrective
and Preventative Action.
• Developing and maintaining a positive working relationship with management
and personnel at all levels of the organization.
• Assisting in the preparation of the Institute Assessment review for Accreditation
purposes.
• Preparing and submitting summary reports to the Quality Assurance Manager.
• Liaises with all relevant departments as may be required.
• Performs related work as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of auditing practices, techniques and principles.
Must be computer literate, working knowledge of Microsoft Word Access and Excel is
required.
Some knowledge of Process Flow Charting and the development of Root Cause.
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well as part of a team
Attention to detail
Able to produce accurate work
Analytical and interpersonal skills
Computation skills are required.
Use office machinery.
Ability to interact at all levels.
QUALIFICATIION AND EXPERIENCE
A minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Management or equivalent.
A minimum of two (2) years experience in an audit environment will be required.
A comprehensive knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
An equivalent combination of training and experience will also be considered.
