The Company is committed to offering quality products made within a highly structured food-safe environment. It is with this in mind that we are inviting applications from suitably qualified persons for the position of:

 

QUALITY MANAGER

 

The successful candidate will be a dynamic and self-motivated individual responsible for continuous improvement of quality assurance & quality control management systems & processes in a food safe environment to ensure confidence in the delivery of not only safe food to consumers, but food that conform to predetermined specifications.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities requirements:

  • Excellent research skills
  • Able to work in a team environment
  • Ability to lead and train staff 
  • Ability to gather and analyze statistical data and generate reports. 
  • Word processing and/or data entry skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to make procedural decisions and judgments.
  • Trained in Corrective Action procedure
  • Ability to develop systematic procedures and document them

 

The successful candidate should possess:

  • 4 year degree in  Baking Technology or Science program  or over 6 years baking experience at a management level  OR
  • 4 year degree with a Science major; experience in Quality Assurance and/or Control and prepared to train in baking science
  • A minimum of 6 years experience at a management level required.
  • Excellent knowledge of food manufacturing processes.
  • Solid understanding of food safety.
  • Experience with using a full range of statistical and analytical tools and fundamentals.
  • Experience in working with HACCP, ISO and/or other food safety or quality assurance systems.
  • Preferred candidates have a thorough understanding of water activity and microbiology.
