The incumbent will oversee purchasing,procurement and product planning for the Company. He/She will lead and support in areas of purchasing timing, budgeting, merchandising, product turn, freight,pricing, negotiation, distribution, food quality and food safety. He/She must
also have a passion for developing a team. He/She is involved with developing and implementing strategic purchasing plans and making adjustments based on their strengths and weaknesses. He/She must shape the goals and objectives of the department on a go-forward basis and develop the departments to take on more responsibility.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Promote and support ongoing teamwork within the department.
Oversee and evaluate market research and adjust strategy to meet changing markets and competitive conditions.
Plan and implement strategic sales, marketing and product development programs, both short and long range, targeted toward existing and new markets.
Develop and recommend product positioning, packaging and pricing strategy to produce highest possible
long-term market share.
Deliver internal and external presentations regarding new product introductions, marketing materials,
business objective and communication strategy.
Establish and maintain a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials and events.
Monitor competitor products, sales and marketing activities.
Contribute to the bottom line of the Company by utilizing analytic, forecasting and negotiation skills to
procure goods and services on favourable terms.
Prepare sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales and areas of proposed client base expansion.
Review and analyze sales performance against budget, plan, and programs to determine effectiveness.
Work with other departments to plan and oversee advertising and promotion activities including print, online,
electronic media, catalogues, website, brochures, in-store displays and direct mail.
Travelling internally and internationally to ensure the relationship with suppliers is maintained.
