GENERAL FUNCTION
Responsible for overall project coordination. He/she will provide support to the various Jamaica Red Cross units and program teams to ensure organizational development. Tasks will include supervising the day to day planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting and compliance management. It is expected that an integrated management approach will be utilized in order to increase impact and efficiency.
Among other things, the Project Coordinar will be required to:
q Coordinate and oversee project assessment activities and prepare operational plans and budgets
q Develop a work plan that will result in the building of the Organization’s capacity to respond to emergencies.
q Analyze the results of assessments already conducted and make recommendations for improving current deficiencies.
q Prepare and manage a risk management strategy
q Establish guidelines and strategies for Program implementation
q Convene meetings and support the development and maintenance of a Program Task Force
q A Post Graduate degree in a relevant field (Project Management, Social Sciences,) OR
q An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
q Report writing
q Systems development and staff support
