 Production Team Leader 

Position Objective: 

To provide strong support to the Managing Director through the profitable management of
all aspects of Production, ensuring the safety of staff, the proper maintenance of equipment and the timely, cost effective and efficient functioning of all of these areas of operation. 

Key Accountabilities: 

• Liaises with Sales and other Managers to prepare Production Schedules.
• Ensures that Production Volumes are in line with Production Schedules
• Ensures that overall Expenses are kept within budget
• Ensures that Overtime for all related departments is kept to a minimum
• Manages monthly/quarterly budgets, monitoring production volumes, and expenses closely, conducting variance analyses, recommending and implementing changes.
• Manages the Production Department efficiently to ensure timely production.
• Reviews production and makes recommendations for improvement-increased production volumes, reduced costs and greater efficiency.
• Ensures effective logistics management, monitoring inventory.
• Supervises Production teams, ensuring proper procedures are followed.
• Responsible for the overall performance and productivity of all Departments’ Staff
• Ensures that quality service is provided to all customers-by the Production Unit.
• Works with Management team to ensure that ISO goals are achieved and at least a satisfactory or better Rating are received from Auditors/other regulatory bodies.
• Assists in the development of market plans, strategies and tools 

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

We will consider any combination of qualifications and experience but the minimum requirements are: 

• At least a First Degree in Electrical or Industrial Engineering or qualification in Production will be an asset.
• EEET diploma 
• A minimum of five (5) years work experience in a Supervisory capacity in a manufacturing/similar environment.
• Analytical, systems oriented with proven strong planning and organizational skills
• Detailed, thorough, and accurate.
• Strong leadership skills with good oral and written communication skills.
• Flexible team player with the ability to manage and influence change.
• Sound integrity and strong initiative
• Computer literate with basic proficiency in Microsoft suite and Microsoft AX 
• Global mindset with high intellectual curiosity.
