We invite applications for a new Digicel Opportunity - Product Manager - ICT
Primary objective of the job:
- Responsible for all aspects of the product life cycle through product launch through end-of-life. You will be responsible for the planning, forecasting and marketing of the Business Solutions product portfolio
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work directly with cross-functional teams from Engineering, Operations, Support, Marketing, Business Development and Sales to help drive a successful product strategy that meets the business objectives.
- Responsible for the production of product related materials and for the formulation of training programs for internal and external customers.
- Responsible for clearly communicating to Marketing, Sales and Customers the market offering, pricing strategy, competitive advantage, roadmap, value proposition and competitive differentiation.
- Carry out market research and be responsible for benchmarking the Business Solutions product portfolio against competitors both locally and internationally.
- Create product related marketing and proposal material for the sales organization, manage the market research activities around the products, and monitor customer awareness and perception of our product offerings.
- Provide monthly management reports on the agreed Key Performance Indicators of the products within the Business Solutions Product Portfolio
- Manage vendor relations with the key suppliers that are involved within the Business Solutions Product Portfolio
- Create conduct and manage customer survey programs to monitor the continued feasibility of product offerings and where necessary input change control requests into the product roadmap based on results.
- Identify new promotions, products or pricing initiatives for implementation to drive key product lines
- Research evolving markets, market trends, customer needs and gathering and summarizing functional products specifications in conjunction with technology, operations and marketing and other key stakeholders.
- Perform all required duties in the absence of the Product Manager
Academic qualifications and experience required for job:
- Degree in Computer Science, IT or other related business field
- Minimum 5 years previous experience in a Product Management role
- Sound Knowledge of budget and business case preparation and financial analysis
- General knowledge of routing platforms and technologies.
- Previous Telco experience highly desirable in a Product Management role.
- Knowledge of Cloud Based delivery models for application and infrastructure platforms.
- Experience of working in a sales lead culture with proven sales enablement skills around researching, launching and marketing network centric ICT solutions using WIMAX and Point to Point networking protocols.
Functional Skills:
- Strong analytical skills including the ability to synthesize large amounts of information, identify key market and user trends, and communicate the implications to marketing, planning and management.
- Solid technical or functional knowledge of telecommunications products and technologies.
- Sound knowledge of the various products and services offered by the Company.
- Ability to summarize and consolidate complex information from multiple sources, as well as experience planning, conducting, analyzing, and presenting data from both qualitative and quantitative research studies.
- Self-starter with high tolerance for ambiguity
- Demonstrates strong leadership skills and must be self-managed, able to drive others, and be a positive influence.

Externally - Vendors; Partners; Service and Content providers; Local Agencies; Customers.
Working Conditions:
