PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST

The Procurement Specialist will be a key member of the Program Coordinating Unit with responsibility for the  overall acquisition of goods, works and services in accordance with the IDB’s rules/requirements,  then Program’s Operational Manual and the Loan Contract.  He/she will prepare and update procurement plans.

Qualifications and Experience 

• A Bachelors Degree in Management, Accounting or Public Administration or related discipline.
• At least five (5) years relevant experience in the following areas:

                 (i)     supervising and coordinating procurement activities

                 (ii)    analyzing and evaluating data

                 (iii)   Government procurement procedures as required by the National Procurement and

                         Tender Administration Board and the National Procurement Act

                (iv)    knowledge and experience in contract management

                (v)     knowledge in turn-key contract procedures and formats

DURATION:   The duration of the Program will be five (5) years.  The Coordinator will be appointed for one (1) year in the first instance and renewable for up to four (4) additional years.

Salary and Benefits

Salary and Benefits will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and will be negotiated during the Contracting period.
