To lead the Procurement Department in all aspects related to Procurement and Supply Chain for the Company.
1. JOB OBJECTIVE:
To procure all Goods and Services for the Company including capital equipment and service contracts at optimum cost consistent with quality and quantity specifications
Manage costs to ensure that they are controlled and within approved budget.
Monitor procurement legislations and regulation, and macro trends in supplier and contract base. Determine options available and approaches to adopt, and implement approved plans to mitigate risks to the Company.
Maintain business relationships with suppliers and service providers.
Identify, negotiate, develop, contract alternate source of supply.
Supports efficient cash management by negotiating the most beneficial purchase price, shipping and freight costs, credit and payment terms.
Manages the Procurement function in the company with strict adherence to expenditure authorization limits as stated in the Company’s Procedures.
Develops, implements and maintains the Procurement Policies and Procedures in accordance with the Company’s guidelines.
Maintains all necessary records of purchase orders, quotations and prices.
Co-ordinates major infrastructural projects as directed by Executive Management from Tender Preparation to Final Completion
Coaches, trains and develops professional and staff to enable them to enhance both individual and departmental performance.
Carries out performance review of all direct reports in accordance with requirements of ADM’s human resource policies and procedures
Maintains effective communication with regional and international procurement personnel in order to benefit from Best Practice options.
Liaise with the Accounts Payable Department to ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices, as necessary for the business with the supplier.
Negotiates lowest freight costs with various suppliers.
