Manages all vendor relationships for her employer. arranges for the purchasing of all materials, equipment, materials, property and services that the organization needs to functions.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Manage various procurement projects that include the areas of purchasing, contracting, sourcing, and commodity management.
  • Understand business objectives so as to generate project information, action items, schedule, and deliverables for the team.
  • Monitor project progress regularly so as to report project status to procurement management. 
  • Assist team in procurement related activities as needed. 
  • Analyze industry trends, Costing & Price Analysis and market competitions to develop business improvement initiatives and formulate negotiation strategies.
  • Define functional training requirements and accordingly develop training materials. 
  • Develop innovative approaches to review procurement process effectiveness and explore logistics solutions for customers and 
    suppliers. 
  • Provide recommendations on all procurement related issues, plans, reports, trainings and metrics. 
  • Provide education and training to internal staff on procurement policies and best practices. 
  • Identify and develop standard processes that address company’s acquisition program requirements. 
  • Develop and maintain effective supplier relationships
  • Interpret and communicate purchasing procedures/processes to departments and vendors
  • Prepare financial justification for major purchases
  • Monthly Reports related to Departmental Activities
  • Other related duties as assigned
  • Assist in monthly/annual stock taking as required.
  • Promote safety awareness and the development of a Safety Culture within the company.
  • Liaise with external customers/contractors/suppliers as and when necessary.
  • Compliance with all EIL Group Policies.

 

REQUIRED ABILITIES & SKILLS:

 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel

• Proved ability to manage multiple projects/tasks effectively Preferred Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills

 • Demonstrated success working in a team environment

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Ability to multi task and work in fast paced environment
  • Excellent written, verbal and communication skills
  • B.Sc in Supply Chain Management or a related field
  • Minimum 2- 3 years’ experience
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong organization skills
  • Excellent Customer Service Delivery Skills
